Pet Care & Training
Play and affection are just as important for your pet as food and shelter. Companion animals need the company and attention of people. Obedience training is also a must for dogs. The DBCHS offers a monthly obedience class free of charge to adopters. The class, taught by long-time dog trainer Cheri Carbone, meets the first Saturday of every month (unless otherwise noted) at 12:30 p.m. in the service department at Stuart Powell Ford on the Danville Bypass near the corner of Perryville Road. Cheri also offers a 6-week class at half price to humane society adopters.
