The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that has been helping cats and dogs in our area since 1972. Whether you're looking for the perfect pet to adopt, wanting to get involved by fostering or volunteering, needing help getting your own animals neutered, or just looking for helpful information, you've come to the right place!

Pets of the Week

May (ID #20226) is  a sweet and precious 12 week old calico kitten. A nice lady rescued her from under a car hood and brought her to the humane society so she could find a loving home. May is playful and friendly with a natural curiosity about her surroundings. She enjoys a good game of “chase the toy” and then is ready to snuggle and take a little nap in your arms. Wouldn’t you like to have May as a cherished member of your family?

Jazzy (ID #20316) is a pretty 5 year old Miniature Pinscher. She was surrendered to the humane society because her owner could no longer care for her pets. Jazzy seems to be more laid back than the average Min Pin and she gets along with other dogs. We were also told that she is house-trained and since Jazzy just weighs about 15 lbs, she’s the perfect size for an indoor companion. So if you’re looking for a cute four-legged friend, come and meet Jazzy and see if she’s a good match for you!
