The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that has been helping cats and dogs in our area since 1972. Whether you're looking for the perfect pet to adopt, wanting to get involved by fostering or volunteering, needing help getting your own animals neutered, or just looking for helpful information, you've come to the right place!

Pets of the Week

Darla (ID #20817) is a very pretty 4 year old calico kitty. She has been with us since last summer, first in a foster home and then at the humane society. Last summer, because of her gentle nature she was a babysitter for some young kittens. At the humane society Darla resides in one of our kitty condos, sharing the space with a variety of cats over the last several months. She has always gotten along with the colony and is very adaptable. Darla is super friendly and will make a great companion as soon as she finds her forever home!

Bobby (ID #22131) is a handsome 2 year old larger mixed breed dog. He may be part Husky and part shepherd. Bobby was a stray and we thought that surely his owner would come looking for him, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Our volunteers love to take Bobby out for walks and he knows some commands like “sit” and “shake hands”. Bobby is fun-loving and energetic. Bobby will do great in a home where he’ll get plenty of exercise and attention. Come and meet this happy boy!
