The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that has been helping cats and dogs in our area since 1972. Whether you're looking for the perfect pet to adopt, wanting to get involved by fostering or volunteering, needing help getting your own animals neutered, or just looking for helpful information, you've come to the right place!

Pets of the Week

Kiri (ID #17830) is a beautiful and sweet 1 year old buff tabby.  Her owner was moving and could not take her to the new home so Kiri was brought to the humane society.  This girl is very laid-back and accepts new people just like they are “old friends”.  Kiri gets along with other cats too, so she should do fine in a multi-cat home.  Are you the special person who can give Kiri a second chance at her forever home?

Nellie (ID #18107) is a pretty 4 month old lab and pointer mix puppy.  She is from a large litter of puppies, several of which have already found homes, but Nellie and four of her sisters are still looking to make a match with an adopter.  Nellie is a beautiful girl and will probably be a medium to large dog when grown.  She is affectionate and likes to cuddle.  Nellie is ready to learn and will blossom with love and training from her lucky adopter.
